The Garnett Police have arrested a man involved in the sexual abuse of a child. Police say the Garnett Police Department was made aware of a report of sexual abuse involving a female under the age of 14 occurring within the city limits of Garnett. During the investigation, probable cause was developed and an arrest warrant was requested and granted for the 41-year-old male for numerous crimes.
Friday, March 24th,the man was arrested at his home in Joplin, Missouri on a warrant for aggravated indecent liberties with a child under 14 and aggravated indecent solicitation of a child under the age of 14, and electronic solicitation.
At the time of the media release yesterday afternoon,,March 27th, the man was still in custody on a $300,000 cash or surety bond.
