Excitement is growing in the Ottawa Fire Department in anticipation of delivery of a brand new fire truck, which will be in town soon. Fire Chief Tim Mathias gave an update on the new engine to Ottawa City Commissioners:
The City Commission gave their final ok to acquiring the new fire truck nearly a year ago. The new truck will replace Engine 3, a 1996 fire engine. Fire engines are expensive, the price of Ottawa’s new truck comes in at over $700,000.
