An expansion of services the Ottawa School District offers autistic children has been approved by the school board. At the Regular School Board Meeting, Special Education Director, Joe Vitt, says part of the equation is having a happier staff:
Vitt says if the district doesn’t provide adequate services, it’s possible that some staff could take things into their own hands in a desperate attempt to get help to an autistic student.
