A Garnett man has been sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison for crimes committed in 2021. Twenty year old Adam Suire of Garnett, was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a child and four counts of aggravated internet trading in child pronography.
In July 2021, the Garnett Police Department was contacted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, about a case involving receiving and distrubuting child pronography. Through several search warrants, numerous images and videos containing child pornography were recovered. Some of the messages were being sent and received through social media accounts. He pled “No Contest” to one count of electronic solicitation and one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
On April 17th he was sentenced to 165 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections, with 36 months of parole when released. He will also be required to register as a lifetime sex offender upon release.
