At the final Legislative Coffee, held Saturday, May 6th, all, area lawmakers were asked what they do when the legislature is not in session when it comes to legislative items. Senator Caryn Tyson say she studies up on tax issues that effect Kansans and spoke of Senate Bill Number 8 that, among other things, helps keep Kansans in their homes:
Representative Rebecca Schmoe says she keeps abreast of the issue via email and encourages as many people as possible to email her and other representatives on issues they find important for the Legislature to solve.
