The Ottawa City Commission meet in Special Session yesterday to consider supporting a Moderate Income Housing Grant Application for a housing unit to be built in the 100 block of Walnut, across from Legacy Square. The deadline for the application is June second and the Commission was running out of time to meet that deadline. Finance Director Melanie Landis describes the proposed rent on the apartments:
The building will have three retail spaces available on the ground floor. The commissioners voted unanimously, with Mayor Eric Crowley abstaining, to approve the application and get it submitted for consideration for a Moderate Income Housing Grant.
