The City of Ottawa has received an award from the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve…..during the Regular City Commission Meeting, Ottawa Mayor, Eric Crowley, read part of the Proclamation:
Public Works Director Michael Haeffele had nominated the city for the award…..Haeffele recently returned from a deployment to Kuwait. Also on hand was former City Manager, Richard Nienstedt, who was honored for guiding the city in its strong support for military men and women.
