A pursuit by Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Deputies ended in the arrest of a Paola man. Deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle that was called in as an erratic driver and instead of stopping it took off. The chase came to an end in the 3000 block of John Brown Road about 4:30 yesterday afternoon, June 29th. Thirty five year-old Joshua Strong of Paola, was arrested for felony fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm while under the influence, criminal damage to property, reckless driving, DUI (his second) and transporting an open container. No one was injured in the pursuit.
