The Osage County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident Friday night, July 7th, near Milepost 164 on I-35. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a semi truck, for an unknown reason, lost control and rolled over onto its side, completely blocking both northbound lanes of traffic. The driver of the semi, 56-year-old Ismael Rage of Columbus, Ohio, was transported to an area hospital for injuries received in the crash.
The northbound lanes of I-35 at Milepost 164 were closed for about three hours until the wreckage was removed from the highway. The highway was reopened at about 2:00 Saturday morning. Osage County Sheriff’s Deputies, Osage County Fire District #3 – Melvern, Waverly Fire and Osage County EMS responded to the scene.
