A very cherished member of the KOFO family has passed away. Ernie Rodina, the host and founder of Better Horses Radio died Wednesday morning, July 12. Ernie graduated from Ottawa University in 1977. Following his graduation, he worked for Purina for 35 years. Additionally, Ernie founded two companies, Big- E’s Blue Cheese and Better Horses.
He liked to tell the story of his time on the OU football team and his friendship with Kansas City Royals Owner, John Sherman, who was at OU at the same time. Ernie was a friend to everyone and a fantastic showman, never afraid of a microphone. In 2005, he founded the Better Horses radio show. He had a true passion for everything he did in his life.
A visitation will be held this evening from 6:00 to 8 at the Ottawa University Chapel, and a Memorial Service at 10:00 Saturday morning, also at the Chapel.
