A Kansas man who feeds the hungry, delivered an emotional speech during the annual meeting of the Franklin County Farm Bureau. Rick McNary has spent over 20 years in various feeding programs. He related how he got started feeding the hungry when he was confronted by a hungry girl in Nicaragua. He said he gave her his watch because she asked for it……..the girl took it to her parents who lived in a shack…an interpreter explained to McNary the parents would sell the watch for money to buy food. Then the young girl returned……..
McNary has written several books and also writes for several magazines, he also founded Shop Kansas Farms, which is designed to expand markets for goods produced by farmers.
