In case you didn’t notice, it was pretty hot outside the past couple weeks…

…at one point we had 6 days in a row over 100 degrees, and heat indexes over 100 for who knows how many days in a row, a good chunk of time, no doubt, and a little bit of a rarity. But, some maybe wondering if that many days in a row is a record for July or something? Ha ha ha ha …not even close. That record, which will probably stand along time to come, was in July of 1936, when it was over 100 degrees 12 days in a row and 22 of 31 days. The all time record is in August of 1936 when it was over 100 degrees 21 days in a row. The highest temperature ever recorded on Ottawa was 118 degrees on July 14th, 1954, when it was over 110, 6 days in a row.

So, you may have been a little warm, but not nearly as warm as 1936 or 1954…
