Saturday is the day! The annual Serving Our Students, or S.O.S. event, sponsored by the Osawatomie Rotary Club will be held at Trojan Elementary in Osawatomie. This amazing event is put on every year to help students and families in need get ready for the upcoming school year. Coordinators say that there will be stations for everything from school supplies and backpacks to hearing and vision screenings to hygiene kits, reading materials, basic dental and health screenings and other resources. Sponsors include State Farm Insurance, First Baptist Church Clothes Closet, Parents as Teachers, the Osawatomie Rotary Club, Osawatomie Library and the Elks Club. S.O.S. will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning, August 12th at Trojan Elementary in Osawatomie
The annual event has been serving students in the district for many years and continues to gather more and more sponsors and serves more students every year.
