A small town in Kansas is making national headlines after police in Marion Kansas raided the offices of a local newspaper. It comes amid claims of identity theft and after the newspaper says it was trying to verify a tip about a local restaurant owner who allegedly had a DWI years ago and continued to drive without a license. That restaurant owner had kicked the paper out of a public forum being held there with Kansas Congressman, Jake LaTurner:

The Marion County Record’s Editor and Publisher, Eric Meyer, denies any wrongdoing and says he’s not intimidated

That edition is due out tomorrow. Meyer says he believes the newspaper’s aggressive coverage of local politics and issues played a role.
