A Baldwin man who has dozens of bee hives near Centropolis, gave his input into a proposed ordinance before the Ottawa City Commission that would allow beekeeping in Ottawa. Buck Bradley says the ordinance needs clarification when it talks about the need to prevent bee swarms:
The Commission listened to the input and will continue discussion of the matter for several more weeks. A final decision on the ordinance and another ordinance on chickens is expected at the September 20th Commission meeting.
