October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month………and the Ottawa City Commission has approved a proclamation recognizing the event. Commissioner Sara Caylor talked about the domestic violence tragedy:
Many studies have shown that domestic violence got worse with COVID pandemic lockdowns and hasn’t slowed much since. Of the 50 states, a recent study shows Kansas has the 12th highest domestic violence incidence rate against women.
