A 41-year-old Louisburg woman and a juvenile boy are dead after being involved in a shooting that took place Friday afternoon,October 6th, inside a Louisburg home in a neighborhood across from Rockville Elementary.
According to a release from the Louisburg Police Department, issued by the city, Louisburg Police Officers and members of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the residence late Friday afternoon in response to a report of a possible shooting.
Law enforcement officials made entry into the residence and found an adult female who was deceased. She was later identified as 41-year-old Susan Stanford of Louisburg. They also located a juvenile boy with life-threatening injuries. The boy was transported to an area hospital and later died, according to an updated release from the Louisburg Police Department. Police Chief, Josh Weber, says the incident remains under investigation, but the police department’s release states that officers are not looking for any suspects, and there is no elevated level of threat to the public.
