The local Veterans Memorial near the Franklin County Courthouse needs to be cared for better. That is the opinion of the Franklin County Society for Celebrating and Honoring Veterans. That’s the new name for the former Veterans’ Day Parade Committee. One of the officers spoke to the Franklin County Commission:
Barraclough says their group wants to assume responsibility for caring for the memorial in the future. The commission appeared to be agreeable to her proposal.
