A big chapter in the Legacy Square Development Project may be about to get underway. When started, one area the wanted to include in the project was a connecting link between Legacy Square and Main Street and worked hard to incorporate a vacant lot in the 100 block of South Main to do that. David Lee, Co-Chair of the Onward Ottawa Organization, told the Ottawa City Commission that a pivotal stage has been reached:
One feature in the connection would include a canopy area similar to the existing one at Legacy Square. The city of Ottawa is being asked to make a $475,000 contribution toward a total budget of slightly under a million and a half dollars.
