A great night at the Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce dinner. Citizens of the Year were announced and the winners were Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Brian Love and Director of Utilities Terry Upshaw. These two incredibly deserving individuals have gone above and beyond for the community in their decades of service. And, the Business of the Year was awarded to “The Grounds Guys”. They take care of landscaping needs for the City, light the downtown and decorate the Mayors Christmas Tree.
Speaking of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree, it’s time to start thinking about the City of Osawatomie’s Miracle on Main Street, being billed as an all day, holly jolly holiday event. It will feature all kinds of events starting at noon, through the afternoon, followed by the lighting of the mayor’s christmas tree and a reading of “The Night Before Christmas. Miracle on Main Street will take place in Osawatomie on Saturday, November 25th.
