After a somewhat contentious public hearing by the Franklin County commission on whether to vacate around 1,700 feet of Louisiana Terrace from about the 4235 to 4300 block of Louisiana, the commission may have come to an agreement. Property owners have been complaining that people have been getting into the area and doing some property damage. Road superintendent Jeff Weldon made a request.
The County Commission agreed to Weldon’s request. If conditions don’t improve, the commission could later put up gates or vacate the road.
