The Kansas Highway Patrol is releasing its Thanksgiving Weekend Holiday Activity Report. The reporting period for the holiday ran from 6:00 in the evening on Wednesday, November 22nd through midnight on Sunday, November 26th. The highway patrol says they worked one fatal crash over the holiday reporting period. That crash occurred in Jefferson County.

The KHP reports that all categories were significantly down this year compared to last year. There were 18 DUI arrests compared to 29 last year. Only 621 speeding citation…last year there were over 1,000. There were a total of 66 seat belt citations and warning, compared to 115 last year.
