The Ottawa City Commission continues trying to decide where to draw boundary lines when it comes to establishing a common Alcohol Consumption District on Main Street. Ottawa Mayor, Eric Crowley made clear what he preferred:
Other commissioners had other locations they want to include. Some would like to see it extend to the auditorium and into Legacy Square and the Bottle House. Another consideration is whether the district will have to have a permit per event, or be an open district at designated times. City Attorney Blaine Finch is expected to draw up a proposed district and present it at a meeting in January.
