Biologists at Kansas State University are trying to find out what’s behind a 15-year decline in the state’s wild turkey population. K-State has launched a $1.8 million study to find out why wild turkey numbers have been falling for so long. Researchers will examine bird habitat, nesting conditions, reproduction habits and other aspects to learn more.
