A wind chill warning remains in effect for Franklin, Anderson, Douglas, Osage, Miami and Linn Counties until noon Tuesday, January 16th. Dangerously low wind chills reaching as low as 40 below in portions of northeast Kansas.
Wind chill could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as ten minutes. Avoid outside activities if possible and when outside, make sure you’re wearing appropriate clothing, a hat and gloves.
