An arraignment has been set for the man accused of killing an Edgerton man while on a trip to Hillsdale Lake over the summer. Fifty four-year-old Brian Meysenburg, of Overland Park, was charged with murder in the first degree following an incident at Hillsdale Lake in June of 2023. The Miami County Sheriff’s office says that around 12:15 the morning of June 20th, law enforcement officials were called to the Pintail Point Campground with reports of a stabbing and a shooting. When they arrived, they found 43-year-old Bryan Hendrickson, of Edgerton, with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As a result, Meysenburg was arrested and booked into the Miami County Jail on murder in the second degree. Charges were later upgraded to murder in the first degree. An in-person arraignment has now been set for 1:30 the afternoon of February 6th. As of yesterday, January 18th, Meysenburg remains behind bars.
