The recent bitter cold and snow really took its toll on equipment used by the Franklin County Public Works Department. Public Works Director David Lee told County Commissioners about one particular problem:
Lee says several snowplows also had issues, including one that had a transmission go out
The County Commission has approved the purchase of two new snow plows. The trucks are expected to be delivered sometime this fall and will cost about $300,000 each.
