A North Carolina man was hospitalized in suspected serious condition after a head-on collision with a semi in Linn County Saturday morning, February 3rd. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 9:00 Saturday morning on U. S. Highway 69 just south of Kansas highway 52. Forty one-year-old Douglas Honn, of High Point, North Carolina, was southbound on U. S. 69, in the northbound lanes, when he struck a semi truck, driven by 62-year-old Roger Bane, of Las Vegas, head on. Honn was take to Overland Park Regional Hospital with serious injuries. Bane was not injured.
