An Osage City man is in custody after narcotics were found during a traffic stop. An Osage County Sheriff’s Department Investigator conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Lincoln Street in Osage City for a traffic violation.

After the investigator discovered illegal narcotics during the stop, the driver of the vehicle, 39-year-old David Cannon, of Osage City, was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Cannon has previous convictions for drug possession in Pratt County in 2019 and interference with law enforcement in Stafford County in 2020.
