The Power of the Past organization has made a big contribution to Forest Park. During the Ottawa City Commission meeting, group President Dave Reeves said that one member, who passed away, had left some money as a good start toward a new shelter:
Reeves says a sign will be placed near the sight stating the shelter was made possible by Power of the Past and in Memory of Terry Wofford, the member who recently passed away. The shelter would be in the southwest part of Forest Park.
The City Commission is expected to officially accept the donation next week, after a few minor details are worked out.
