In his monthly Mid-America Business Conditions Index Survey of supply managers, Creighton University Economics Professor, Ernie Goss says regarding inflation, the index was up significantly in March. Supply chain disruptions will have a big impact on inflation. Approximately, one in four supply managers reported concerns.
Goss does not expect the Federal Reserve to change rates until the end of July, but he says investors anticipate a rate cut in June. Looking ahead, he says it’s important to keep an eye on the bond market.
