A child sex crime investigation has involved at least three different law enforcement agencies. A news release from the Osage County Sheriff’s office says they, along with the Garnett Police Department and Ottawa Police Department, targeted a residence in Osage City at 633 ½ Ellinwood Street and conducted a search warrant at the home. The news release states that 28-year-old Nicholas Englebert lived at the home. The three investigating agencies have been in cooperation with the FBI, who is now presiding over the case.
There are no records of criminal charges being filed yet, but more information on the case is expected shortly.
