The Franklin County Emergency Medical Services Department will soon have a new ambulance. Emergency Medical Services Director, Christi Hilliker says a company helped find the right vehicle:
The new unit will come from Bentonville, Arkansas. The new ambulance replaces one that was destroyed in a freak accident late last year in Kansas City, right in front of KU Medical Center, where a drunk driver hit them headon. The vehicle was originally thought to be repairable; however, extensive damage was discovered that made repair not a feasible option.
