Do you like shopping at Aldi’s? You’ll like it even more so. Aldi has announced they will be reducing prices on hundreds of items this summer, to help customers combat inflation. The store says its team is passing along $100 million in savings through Labor Day to its customers by dropping prices on more than 250 items. Aldi President Dave Rinaldo, says they are looking for ways to help customers save money, but with experts warning of persistent inflation, it’s time to lower prices to help. He says they don’t want food prices to hold people back from getting together with friends and family or spending time outdoors this season. Hey, Dave, can you make sure the price of your jalapeno popper pizza goes down? Man, those are good!
Some of Aldi’s reduced prices will be applied to seasonal items such as picnic necessities, barbecue essentials, travel-ready snacks and better-for-you foods. Aldi representatives say increasing customer demand is also driving the company to grow as it plans to add 800 stores nationally over the next five years.
