The soybean industry is always on the cutting edge of new products and technology. What’s the latest? How about a biobased oil for chainsaws. U. S. Soy, out of Ohio, has invested in a development plan to manufacture a high performing, sustainable, bar and chain oil and it’s working! They partnered with DeWALT and Dynamic Green Products to produce the oil and it is now available at Home Depot and some online platforms, including Bomgaars, Mac Tools, Grainger and Amazon, for easy access to the environmentally friendly product.
Those who have used it says it works great in all areas of chainsaw use. One person impressed is Buckin’ Billy Ray Smith, known for his adventures on the History Channels, “Ax Men” series. The 30 year veteran in logging says he was instantly impressed and now it is the only oil he uses, including in his vintage chainsaws.
The AG industry continues to look for new, innovative products, made from many of our Nations crops.
