The Ottawa School Board heard some objections to how some classes concerning marriage and related subjects are being taught. During its regular meeting, Ottawa Bible Church Senior Pastor Dakota Smith told board members more traditional values need to be emphasized.
Smith went on to say that marriage has demonstrated a host of healthy benefits, which should be taught in school. He said the Relationships Under Construction curriculum is data driven, not religiously driven and if the school district is going to say they are data driven, the RUC Curriculum must be taken into account.
