The Franklin County Commission has approved spending almost a million dollars to overlay the remaining 12 miles of Old 50 Highway, in addition to the widening of four miles already budgeted for. County Administrator Derek Brown says it’s a somewhat tall order:
The total project cost is about $973,000. Brown emphasizes that the reserves he’s referring to are not the emergency reserves that might be needed in the case of emergencies, because they are still intact.
