A Baldwin City woman was seriously injured in a rollover crash Tuesday evening, May 21st, in Lenexa. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-35 about a quarter mile south of the College Boulevard overpass. Just before 7:00, a semi truck was driving slowly in the right lane, when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Ashley Trout of Baldwin City, struck the rear end of the truck. A third vehicle was struck by debris from the crash ahead of them. Trout was take to Overland Park Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. No word on what type of injuries she sustained or her condition. Fortunately, she was wearing a seat belt.
The crash shut down the highway for a time while authorities worked the scene. The other two drivers were not injured.
