The Ottawa City Commission will meet this afternoon with several items on the agenda. First they will review an annual report from Ottawa University on the Kansas Independent College Finance Authority Revenue Anticipation Notes. They will also receive monthly reports from the Franklin County Development Council, Ottawa Library, Ottawa Main Street Association and Prairie Paws Animal Shelter.
Also on the agenda, a presentation by Development Council Director Paul Bean about establishing a Sister City Program. City Attorney Blaine Finch will outline a Land Use Agreement between JC Freedom Enterprises in regard to using some land on Kingman Road. The City Commission will also be reviewing the operating budget for the water fund. Finance Director Melanie Landis and Utilities Director Dan Rney will lead that discussion.
The meeting will be held at 4:00 this afternoon at City Hall, and live streamed on the City of Ottawa’s facebook page.
