U.S. Senator, Jerry Moran, ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and related agencies – delivered opening remarks during a hearing to review the president’s 2025 budget request for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, (NASA), and the National Science Foundation. He acknowledged that China is a threatening advisory and along with territorial grabs on the moon, has made significant strides in their space program. Moran says it is important to return to the moon, and reach toward new goals, such as landing an astronaut on mars, using the project called Artemis and how it relates to Kansas:
