USD 367 Osawatomie has hired the new principal at Trojan Elementary. Therese Crink Edgecomb will take over leadership of the school. Next year will mark her 21st year in education, earning degrees and certificates from Emporia State University and Baker University. She taught 1st thru sixth grades in multiple districts. In Lawrence she served on special assignment in english and language arts and was the District Curriculum Coordinator. Most recently, she served as Interim and Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at West Middle School in Lawrence.
She says she has a passion for creating and engaging, safe, and fun learning spaces. She adds that she is eager to engage with the community and continue the tradition of excellence already present at the school, while focusing on academic rigor while supporting and meeting the needs of the students.
