The Kansas State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police has announced its endorsement of former Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt in the Republican Primary for Kansas 2nd Congressional District. President of the Fraternal Order, Amanda Woods says Schmidt’s commitment to public safety, support for law enforcement, and dedication to the well-being of all communities make him an outstanding candidate. Schmidt commented on the endorsement:

His legislative initiatives and policies align with the core values of their organization, and they believe his leadership will greatly benefit the people of Kansas. She adds that “they are looking forward to working with him in Congress to further our shared goals.”
