Libertarian candidates from Paola have filed for offices at the township, county and state levels. Libertarian Eric Lund of Paola filed for Miami County Clerk. His name will be on the November 5th General Election ballot along with the winner of the August 6th Primary election between Republican candidates Laura Epp of Paola and Shay Hanysak of Osawatomie. No Democratic candidates filed. Lund is the Miami County Coordinator and State Secretary for the Libertarian party. Libertarian candidate Cullene Lang of Paola filed for the Kansas Senate District 12 position. Her name will be on the General Election ballot along with the winner of the primary election between Republican Incumbent Caryn Tyson of Parker and Republican challenger Stetson Kern of Pleasanton. No Democratic candidates filed. Libertarian candidate Bob Sundquist of Paola filed for the South Marysville Township Trustee position in Miami County. He will face Republican candidate Jennifer Williams of Spring Hill.
