Endorsements for political candidates are starting to pick up. The Kansas State Troopers’ Association Political Action Committee announced its endorsement of former Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt in his campaign to represent Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District. Committee Spokesperson Bryan Clark says as Attorney General, Schmidt fought to make Kansas a safer place to live, work, and raise a family. He adds that now more than ever, Kansans need leaders who understand what it takes to keep families safe, and there’s nobody with more expertise, with more of a proven record than Schmidt. Schmidt says he is honored:
The Kansas State Troopers represent more than 500 Kansas State Troopers, law enforcement officers, and retirees from the Kansas Highway Patrol. This endorsement comes after the Kansas State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Schmidt earlier this month.
