The heat is really going to build over the next few days and, it’s summer in Kansas, so, it’s probably going to get much worse before it gets better. One thing you have to watch out for is the temptation to leave your pet or child in a car, running, of course, air conditioner on, and running into a store real quick. You’ll only be just a minute…right? Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says don’t be tempted:
Eight children in the United States have died so far this year in hot cars. Don’t become a victim of a tragedy that can be prevented. Check the back seat every time before getting out, and don’t leave children or pets in cars, running , or not.
