Dozens of people who are interested in the upcoming renovation of Old 50 Highway gathered at a special program at the County Annex to learn more about the project. Franklin County Public Works Director, Jeff Welton, says the whole stretch of road is due for work:
Welton says the first four miles will be widened to 24 feet and the rest of the highway may be widened only at certain locations where leaving it at its current width could be dangerous.
