Everyone is looking forward to a long weekend off to celebrate the Fourth of July. No work on Thursday and maybe Friday for some people; but, not everyone has the day off. There are plenty of people working to keep you happy and safe. Convenience store workers, restaurant workers, hotel staff, radio staff at KOFO, employees at retail stores and dozens of others. Ottawa City Manager, Brian Silcott, reminds us of some workers that should never be forgotten on holidays– first responders and utility crews:
Thank you to all the people who sacrifice their time with families to keep us safe and secure during the holidays. If you see a first responder today, give them a wave or a big thank you for what they do for all of us.
