Did you know a woman signed the Declaration of Independence. Although it wasn’t in the usual way as the rest of the known male signers’, nevertheless it is a little known fact. Historian Martha Keys told CBS that some copies of the Declaration contain an interesting name at the bottom.
Keys says Goddard published a weekly newspaper in Baltimore for nine years and was also Postmaster for the city.
