The extension of broadband internet service to Rantoul and areas of Miami County is already attracting a considerable number of customers. Adam Dixon is the Operations Manager for MoKan Communications, sponsor of the project and during a meeting of company and county officials in Paola, Dixon said there are already a lot of potential customers:
Stanton is an unincorporated area just across the county line from Rantoul. The project was largely financed by a million dollar grant from the Federal Government.
