The Ottawa City Commission has stated their intention to exceed the revenue neutral rate in upcoming budget decisions. Before taking a vote, Commissioner Eric Crowley had a last minute objection:
After further discussion, the commission settled on a new mill rate at 45 mills even. The public hearing for the exceeding revenue neutral rate is Wednesday, September 4th at 7:00 pm.
